We enjoyed our stay very much. Beds were great. Fun to swim in pool and whirlpool in the cold. Nice real fire in room. No handicap parking in front of our building a shame. Nice spa!
My Dad and I stayed here on our way to Madras, OR for the eclipse. Everything was very nice and I'm so glad we had the opportunity to stay here. In my online reservation I had requested a quiet and upstairs room, which was noted and done for us. We also had dinner at the Mallard Cafe, which was so very enjoyable, with wonderful service and a beautiful view. The room was very comfortable and clean, with very comfortable beds, and we got a really good rest at this peaceful oasis.
Very pleasant and helpful staff! Room was very nice and clean and overlooked the courtyard, which they said all of their rooms do. We stayed here two nights, and on the second night our cards stopped working for the door to our room, seemingly for no reason. Staff had maintenance sent out to our room right away and got us new cards. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there aren't any activities to do when it's raining.
We had such an amazing time for our anniversary. Only thing which was a little inconvenient was there restaurant, Altitude, closed due to plumbing issues so we walked over to there other restaurant which was so fun with the games (pool, arcade style games, food ball). And really good clam chowder. So it was actually a really great thing that happened. And, Altitude opened shortly after and we finished our night there with a glass of wine. The heated pool and hot tub were wonderful.
This quick get away from the Portland/Vancouver area provides nature's beauty and rest and relaxation in a beautiful setting. The staff are cordial and do their best to make your stay memorable. The rooms are spacious and well designed. The comfortable beds enticed me to sleep in, but there were so many activities available, I resisted that idea. Beautiful walking trails, the spa with massage and sauna, free bicycles to use, tennis court, badminton, heated outdoor pool and hot tub, delicious meals were amenities I appreciated. My husband and son have enjoyed the golf course as well.
